Cannabis has been shown to be a highly effective treatment for nausea from chemotherapy, chronic liver disease from side effects of medications such as interferon as well as idiopathic nausea where the cause cannot be determined.

For many patients cannabis works better than any other nausea medicine.  Many patients report that they don't know how they would have completed their cancer or hepatitis C therapy without their cannabis.

Clinical trials are not as convincing, generally showing about thirty percent of patients tested in double blind studies reported relief with cannabis, however the excellent results in patients for whom it was successful justifies its use.
